So a mixed reaction on the orange.
What about this one? Colour's a little dull, eh?
One of the reasons I like these ones is that the reading space is contained to the center of the page. It makes it easier on the eyes.

Much nicer - I would modify it (or this one) with some cool fonts, different coloured writing, graphics...whatever you want, without making it too overdone. I saw this (current) template once, but the blogger had changed the font to the titles of the posts - it snazzed it up A LOT. Unbelievably so actually.

I prefer the orange one -- it's got more pop.
I think the biggest problem with the current template is the dark background with the light text. Any template with a lighter background and dark text will be a huge improvement.
